I'm a graphic artist located in China Grove, NC, just north of Charlotte. I have a diverse background in screen and offset printing, apparel design and decorating, reprographics, package and general design, presentation materials, web technologies and data manipulation. My style is function forward design which puts the message and purpose first in creating an eye pleasing design
I worked within the screen printing industry numerous years, which helped me develop my skills in printing, garment construction, production planning, separation techniques, computer design, and management. It was during this time I had the pleasure of working with several exceptionally talented artists from whom I learned much.
I was employed in the offset and reprographics for more than six years, consequently increasing my knowledge in networking, file management, customer service, costing, design and layout, reprographic equipment, prepress, and offset printing. Most importantly, I gained valuable customer service knowledge.
I worked in the fashion and merchandising field, where my skills grew in package design, prototyping garments and print patterns, presentation materials, product sourcing documentation, and collaborating with major retailers. I have completed several web sites on a freelance basis and am looking to grow my knowledge in this area.
I am currently utilizing my skills manipulating data to maintaining online ERP software. Data is processed from digital order forms and customer's EDI files then manipilated utilizing Microsoft Excel to format correctly and sort data as needed. I would like to utilize my experience on your project or within your organization.
I created these for a client based on her written instructions and photo examples. I created the silouettes, patterns and graphics.
This was created while working for Shogren Industries. All designs were created in Adobe Illustrator and represent PDQs and prouducts.
This is hosiery product with pattern designs. Sock and bottom left tight are knit patterns. Two products on the right show sublimation patterns.
These two websites are no longer live but you can see the type work I am capable of producing. These were created using XHTML, CSS and Javascript.
The two designs on the left were separtated in Adobe Photoshop and separations printed from Adobe Illustrator.
These are the individually separated colors that make up this separation. I do my separation by hand which produces better results.
These are an assortment of packaging for hosiery. The two top left are full packaging boards, while the other two are adhesive bands.
Three of these are die cut packages that I worked on the dies and print layouts. The other two are adhesive backed bands.
The two packages on the left are mockups of the packaged bags. The other is a die cut for a three pack hosiery construction.
These were a colaborative effort. I updated the menus and added additional graphics to complete the menus added pages and products.
These are some products that I subcontracted as handout for an event. It includes possible seating chart and menu.
Top left is an ad for a Valentine's Day event and two invitations for upcoming events.
I typeset and layedout these ads while working for Delhaize. I designed the graphics, maps and other items.
